Ashurst has over 900 lawyers, including over 200 partners, in twelve countries. Founded in 1822,[2] the firm was known as Ashurst Morris Crisp until it rebranded in late 2003. Ashurst has offices in Abu Dhabi, Brussels, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, New York, Paris, Rome, Singapore, Stockholm, Tokyo and Washington DC.
In September 2011 it was announced that the firm will merge its Asian business with that of Australian law firm Blake Dawson, and Blake Dawson will be renamed as Ashurst across all offices in March 2012, followed by a full financial merger of the two firms in 2014.[3]
